When do men finally mature?

my man is 27 eyars old. he will pay cable before lights. He will party untill 6:00am. he doesn't think of being responcible before having fun. I constanlty work more to make ends meet while he acts like he just got out of highschool! I have tried for three years to help make him more future oriented. Am I waisting my time? I'm only 21 and I hold us above water he he keeps pulling us under! help!

Reply:Never and that's what you women love about us. As far as the bills go, did you explain to him that without electricity he can't watch his cable?
Reply:He is taking you for a ride and you got to make the trip a little rough so that he will get on his feet. You are too young to take him, nor will he mind any of your requests or threats. Tell him in clear terms that you would leave him if he does not change. If he does not give a damn, leave him.

There are plenty of guys out there who have their priorities straight and are younger than 27. Sounds like he is not interested in your feelings or concerns.





Simply put, your "man" is not a man. He is a spoiled boy and you are the one spoiling him. I doubt you can change his behavior. Your choice is to change your attitude or your partner.

Reply:Well, to me (a 29 yr old man) it sounds like your man has matured and is just irresponsible. You may be wasting your time. Responsibility and maturity are two different things. I would have to say that if you is 27 and still acting like this, it will take a lot to change his ways.

you might want to reconsider where your life is going to be with him down the road.start holding your head above and let him sink,his ship on his own.

Reply:Sounds like your man is very comfortable knowing that you'll pick up his slack. Stop working the extra jobs and let it fall on him for a change. Don't make it so easy on him to be so irresponsible. If they cut the cable, then so be it. Let him see that you are his HELPER and companion and NOT his mommy or his ATM. Good luck!
Reply:Men never get mature.. it's a fact. And i think you are wasting your time. So an idea is to have a serious talk with his, and tell him that he isn't mature, and if he isnt going to start to act like an mature person you will end the relationship. See to it for 2/3 weeks, and if he isn't changed, show him the door.


It doesnt sound easy, but think about the fact that you already posted an question here for an answer and that you've accepted his behaviour for too long already. It's time to choose for your own.
