Can you sue someone for this?

I posted a naked picture of myself on a website for fun a dew eyars ago. A girl that doesnt like me found the picture, and sent it to all her friends via the internet, and all of my friends via the internet. Are there any laws where this could be considered wrong? Can i file any charges against her for this?

Can you sue someone for this?
Nope!

The internet is not private and how could you think you have a privacy issue when you are the one that posted it?

The only thing you could possibly do is sue for copyright infringement, but I doubt a lawyer would take your case unless you ante up some big bucks.

Repeat after me, "once on the net, it is forever!".
Reply:You asked for it.

You can sue for anything. If you sue over this, the loud noise you will here will be your case being laughed out of court.

It pays to advertise.....depending on the quality of the product.
Reply:Sure, you could sue. Try to find some copyright angle and get it into federal court. Good luck!
Reply:Lady, in this country you can always find a lawyer to sue anybody for anything.

By the way, where is that website?
Reply:Probably not.
Reply:if you put it on the web, it's open for all to see. you may feel wronged, but you opened yourself up by posting it in the first place. sorry, sueing is not an option.

remember this, if you don't want others to see something, don't put it on the internet. anything put on the net is public domain. though some things have copyright protections, those protections are limited.
Reply:You did it for fun. Now someone else is having the fun. The internet is made for fun. Do you see a pattern here? No, you cannot sue.
Reply:nope... you can't do a thing but take the pic down, if you can. You messed up man, once you put a pic on the internet everyone can see it.
Reply:No, you put your picture out there on a public forum. (the Internet is public) You essentially gave your permission.
Reply:Yeah go ahead and when the judge says to her where you get the picture she is gonna say oh posted on the internet. The judge is just gonna look at you like you have no sense. Which I kinda think you might not why would post something you don't anyone else seeing that also makes sense
Reply:you put it out there in the first place dumbazz
Reply:Nope. She might have been kinda wrong for distributing it, but she didn't do anything illegal. If you sued, you would lose, because you put it out there for her to do in the first place.
Reply:YOU broke the law. You posted those pictures originally and now you want to sue someone for passing them around? Do you really think the Internet is a private place? Sheesh!

However, the cops and the DA might want to talk to you.
Reply:You put it out yourself for the public to view ! You can`t file SCHITT against her ! Not successfully anyways . If you do , YOU could end up being charged with malicious persecution if she gets herself a good lawyer !

Face it ........ you DIDN`T put that pic on the internet for "fun" ! You put it there in the hope of attracting young females (or males) . Only PERVERTS do this , Edgar !

That pic is going to come back and bite you in the *** ......... hard ! and there`s NOTHING you can do about it ! You put it there for PUBLIC display , and that means "implied" permission for anyone to use it for public display .

What a moron !!
Reply:No, you posted it yourself on internet.
